Salisbury sits at the confluence of five rivers: the Avon, Nadder, Ebble, Wylye, and Bourne, and offers lovely water meadows walks. Just 10 miles north lies Stonehenge, the world-famous prehistoric monument attracting over 1 million visitors annually. Old Sarum, the original settlement, features impressive Iron Age earthworks and Norman castle ruins. Nearby Wilton House, seat of the Earls of Pembroke, displays stunning state rooms designed by Inigo Jones.
